Colin Ong of Great Eastern Advisor Joins Opening Ceremony of The NCO Club
Colin Ong is one of the biggest celebrities Singapore has. So, it was obvious that he would be invited to the event marking the launch of The NCO Club. The organizers wanted all the A-listers of the country to be present at the event; so, there was no way they could miss inviting Mr. Ong, the Senior Executive Director of Great Eastern Financial Advisers
Colin Ong’s rise to
the top has been one of the most talked-about events for a long time. He joined
Great Eastern in 1992 just after completing his graduation from the National
University of Singapore. When he started his journey at Great Eastern, he was
lucky to get Tan Koon Chuan, another giant of Singapore’s insurance industry,
as a mentor.
He was a quick
learner; so, within just six years of joining the company, he managed to rise
to the post of Divisional Sales Officer. Since then, Colin has never looked
back and today he is one of the main men of Great Eastern.
Among all the good
things he succeeded in doing for the company, the most prominent one is surely
the creation of Advisors’ Clique (AC). AC is an advisory group within Great
Eastern, which currently consists of more than 600 financial services
professionals.
Other than being a
highly prosperous finance professional, Colin Ong is also a family man. He is
happily married to Irene (also a director at Great Eastern) and has a beautiful
daughter Nicolette. Colin has multiple philanthropic engagements. He regularly
donates for the welfare of underprivileged children, maintenance of elderly
homes, and more.
Although not a big
party person, Colin never misses the opportunity of meeting people who have
contributed to the rise of Singapore as one of the most financially secured
countries in the world. Other notable invitees at the event organized by the NCO The club were senior management and staff of CDL, Marriott International, IOI
Properties Berhad, and partners from the finance and banking industry.
Colin was seen spending some happy times with
Ms. Evonne Tan, the Executive Director or UBS AG Singapore, Ms. Yiong Yim Ming,
the Chief Financial Officer of CDL Group, and Mr. Sherman Kwek, the Chief
Executive Officer of CDL Group.
All the invitees including Colin
Ong Great Eastern were greeted with a stunning tango performance and a
delicious six-course meal at the Chinese restaurant madame Fan. The night ended
with performances from singer Janine Annice and Cool Cats, a London-based Jazz
band.
